Purple Cow Diner

This diner lived up to its name. Everything is purple...including some of the shakes. (Maybe there really is a purple cow in the back shooting out purple milk!) The three of us had hamburgers and fries which I believe everyone thought were good. I would give my burger a 6 out of 10 because it was pre-paddied and it tasted like it too. Nik did have the chocolate shake which put a smile on his face which in turn brightened up the rest of our afternoons.

Future note. This diner caters to small children. I think the last time I saw that many kids in one restaurant I was trapped in some pizza joint with an auto mechanic mouse and band mechanically jamming out on stage.

Palayok

My first impression of Palayok - "A Taste of the Phillipines", was not a good one. The place was kinda small, didn't seem very clean, and the sweaty burly guy behind the counter wearing a tank top and an apron wouldn't have been at the top of my list of "people who can handle my food and dishes". David got some marinated pork thing, some bean stuff, and a beef and onion thing. Daryl got a sweet pork thing and a beef stew thing. I got the soupy sour pork thing, the sweet pork thing and the beef and onion thing. All the dishes were really good! Like surprisingly tasty. I liked the sour pork soup thing the best i think. The guy turned out to be really friendly and nice. Daryl and I, being the scum that we are, didn't bring any cash to this cash and check only place, so DMC declared lunch was on him! Well not really but he still paid for our food.

Razzoo's

Me and Daryl lunched with Matt today and went to Razzoo's, one of the places on Matt's approved lunch place list. Matt really needs to add a few more places to the list because I think we are growing weary of eating there (I am anyway). Jalepeno catfishes and jambalaya pasta as usual. Matt walked out with a huge bunch of hush puppies.

Thai Soon

It's never too soon for Thai Soon. Thai food is something we could eat everyday and not get tired of but we try and mix it up some. Nik was still in his training class so Jerry & Frank joined us for lunch. They got some sort of thai food. I made myself try something different so I got the spicy fried rice. It was good but chan poo is still the best.

Chan poo
Tasty noodles
Chunky tofu
Assorted veggies
Culinary perfection!

Pluckers

Sorry kids, no picture today. David and Daryl went out with some of our HCOM coworkers since Nik ditched us in favor for his so called communications class. I opted for the traditional 10 peice hot wings which I thought were pretty good. Their waffle fries were good too. DMC ordered half hot and half sesame. I think he liked sesame better but he's not a huge fan of wings in the first place.
