Lunch of Despair

Today was extremely busy so I was unable to join the normal lunch crew on another fantasic lunch adventure. To top that off, I forgot that my car was at the dealership for service so my quick lunch options were pretty limited. Me and Jerry both ended up braving the grease filled air of the 2nd floor to see what kind of edible items we might find. Jerry got a taco salad and I got a chicken fajita pita thing. The pita thing was ok. It was wrapped and cut in a way that suggested it might make it easier to eat but it didn't really work out that way. Let us hope that we never have to eat at the deli again.

Asian Mint

Today we ate Thai food at Asian Mint. The food there is really good although I think they try too hard to be uber trendy. The chairs are interesting looking but really aren't so great for sitting on. Then there's that glass of colored liquid with the little ball floating in it that you feel the urge to try drinking even though it would probably be a really bad idea. It used to feel like eating at The Gap but now it's a little less so. Maybe because it is totally packed at lunchtime nowadays.

Me, Brad and Daryl got the Pad Kee Mow with chicken. Jerry got Red Curry with tofu. Nik got Pad See Iew.

Genghis Grill

Today we met matt at the plano location of genghis grill, which only opened recently.
Imagine a small hallway with lots of people lined up in it. Then put tables and chairs with people eating their lunch on both sides of the line. That was how they decided to build and arrange their restaurant. As usual the food was as good or as bad as you made it. Matt says he thinks BD's, a genghis grill copy cat, is better. Everytime i've been to BD's they've scorched my food and blamed me.

Freebird's

Burritos come in sizes that are too giant or not giant enough. I ordered the "Freebird " size burrito which wasn't quite enough food, but the "monster" would have been too much. I knew i should have followed my usual plan of ordering too much food. The line was too long to go back and get some nachos or something.
